David Wolnerman and Birney Havey

David Wolnerman of Des Moines, Iowa met Birney Havey of Texas for the first time nearly 73 years after the Liberation of the Dachau Concentration Camp, near Munich, Germany. David was a 18 year old Jewish prisoner, working as a Sonderkommando, Jews forced to work in the crematoriums. Birney was a 21 year old U.S. Army soldier with the 42nd Rainbow Division, who Liberated the camp on 29, April 1945. They met in Chicago last week, to talk about each ones experience, during the War.
